Spokester is a bicycle accessory startup that makes a durable plastic noisemaker that clips onto the front fork of a bike to mimic the sound of a motorcycle as it hits the spokes while the wheel is in motion. While faced with the need to expand their manufacturing opperation, they came to me with a request to illustrate a poster for them to be screen-printed and used as a reward perk in their Kickstarter campaign. Since the product is reminiscent of the 1950's trend of putting baseball cards in bicycle spokes, they wanted a poster that reflected that era, so I took inspiration from the WPA National Parks posters and I did the entire process by hand for a more authentic feel.
